4-H Seasons of Service Team
Climbs New Heights at Island Jubilee
TAVERNIER, Fla. (242 words) – Marathon High School 4-H
Seasons of Service (SOS) Team member Eric Petit, a sophomore from Marathon
High School, raised awareness and dollars for his favorite charity at the
recent Island Jubilee in Tavernier. “His heart matched by his effort won him
cheers and the satisfaction of saving lives by climbing to the top of the
rock wall at the event,” said Monroe Youth Challenge Program District
Prevention Coordinator and SOS Team Leader Michele Sutter. Challenged by
onlookers, Eric scrambled to the top and received donations for the club’s
service project, the Measles Initiative led by the American Red Cross.
